Anserifomes

The Anserifomes  is an order of water birds that includes ducks, geese, and swans. The orde has a cosmopolitan distribution, occurring on all the world's continents. These birds are adapted for swimming, floating on the water surface, and in some cases diving in at least shallow water. This includes three families and 168 species.

The Anseriformes includes the following families:

  • Anhimidae (Grouse Coot)
  • Anseranatidae (Magpie Goose)
  • Anatidae (Swans, geese and ducks)
